Cordele, Georgia (January 14, 2019) – All aboard! The Historic SAM Shortline Railroad has announced its February 2019 schedule of railroad adventures. Now in its 19th year of operation, the SAM Shortline provides a glimpse into the last era of passenger train travel with full-day excursions in Southwest Georgia as well as special events.
The 2019 season kicks off with the Valentine’s Day Dinner Train on Thursday, February 14th. This annual event always sells out quickly, so this year a Coach “No Meal” option will be available as well as the traditional dinner seating.
Full-day excursions for February will include the Presidential Flyer on Saturday, February 16 (Itinerary may change due to Federal Govt. shutdown at the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site) and the popular Plains Express on Friday, February 22 as well as Saturday, February 23.
Details are being finalized on rail excursions for March and the rest of 2019. Those events will be announced in the next few weeks.
Details of each itinerary can be found at samshortline.com/schedule along with online ticket purchasing.
